On Patrol

Professor Manteia was not one to enjoy nor become a victim of adolescent pranks. He recognized that the darkness and noise were meant to conceal something and felt certain that Professor Heimdall had been made a victim of some such joke. He was also convinced that those responsible would know the cure for her current affliction. He flourished his wand and stated Homenum Revelio. The spell promptly and effectively revealed a group of four students in a classroom nearby and he called out to them utilizing Sonorus, to amplify his voice throughout the corridor and nearby classrooms.

"I am aware of the presence of four students in that classroom. Professor Heimdall requires the cure to your prank immediately. It would be wise for you to show yourselves so that we may accompany her to the hospital wing.", he bellowed.

Courtney was terribly afraid of Professor Manteia, and she held her breath as she heard his voice. It's okay, I'm still headless, she thought to herself.

Hill was breathing deeply, they knew where they were but didn't know who they were. He looked around and saw a guy, a headless person and.....Kaela, "Do we have anything to disguise Kaela with?" He asked frantically.

"Okay, what do we do now?" Lou said shaking. "I gave her the candy to stop the nosebleed. I pressed it into her hand. Do we have a way out from here?"

"There are more than one way of getting out of classrooms??" Hill hadn't thought of that....

Professor Manteia was growing impatient. He needed to get Professor Heimdall to the hospital wing, but was determined that those responsible for her condition would accompany them there. He led Professor Heimdall slowly towards the classroom that the students were in and cast Alohomora, opening the door and revealing the light from within.

Courtney panicked, and impulsively grabbed another handful of darkness powder and tossed it around the room. She knew there was a window in the classroom, but to climb out, they would have to act fast.

Lily was so happy that the gender fudge had not worn off yet so she would not be spotted. The door flew open and then the room went black. She was sure Courtney threw more powder to conceal them from the professors. She wasn't sure what would happen next, but knew they had to get out of there.

I wonder if we can get out the door without being noticed

Kaela had been listening to the commotion outside and stuffed her Extendable Ear back in her pocket once Professor Manteia made his announcement. She pretty much froze, and just stood there in a panic while Courtney and Hil tried to think of something to do.

When the Professor came in, Kaela looked up toward the door and found herself suddenly surrounded by darkness. What are we going to do? Kaela thought, scared to death at the thought of getting in trouble, as it had never happened to her before. Why did I agree to this? She stood there, wondering what to do, wishing she were telepathic.

Liz was walking down the corridor, looking for Courtney. They hadn't hung out in awhile, and she was looking forward to some sort of reunion.

In her search, she just saw the commotion. Seeing Professor Heimdall bleeding from the nose, she looked worried. Professor Manteia wasn't on her fun-list, but she didn't think he'd do anything like this.

Then she bit her lip. I smell a wheeze

"Er... excuse me. Professor, would I be permitted to escort you to the hospital wing?"

Professor Manteia was becoming frustrated by the actions of the students, concerned more about their own skin then the well-being of a professor who had likely done nothing to them. He quickly cast Lumos to check on Professor Heimdall's condition, only to find that blood was still flowing from her nose. He did not normally utilize healing spells, but felt confident in his ability to use Episkey to stop the bleeding.

With Professor Heimdall's loss of blood problem effectively resolved he turned his attention back to the students attempting to conceal themselves in the darkened classroom. Standing in the darkened doorway, he listened carefully for movement and then whispered something to Professor Heimdall.

Upon hearing another student in the now dimly lit hallway, Professor Manteia turned to her and answered her. "Yes. She has suffered a fairly significant loss of blood. I will join you shortly."

Liz bit her lip. Professor Manteia apparently didn't hear her.

"Professor," she said in a slightly louder voice, "I think one of my Force-Fed Mirage candies might be on the loose. Was this caused by a candy?"

Pranksters gotta help each other out.

Courtney ran over to the window and pried it open. She grabbed her wand and in the manliest voice she could utter, yelled "Accio Firebolt!" She hoped the others would do the same.

Hill followed Courtney's lead and said "Accio Firebolt" in his already manly voice.

Lou heard Hill whisper in his ear and whispered back "window" as quietly as he could. They were only a few steps away from the window and Lou grabbed Hill and Kaela's arms and tugged, hoping they would understand and not speak aloud. Lou turned and leaned out the open window and followed what Courtney did with her wand.

"Accio Firebolt"

Grateful that her voice was still adjusted, she didn't sound like herself at all. She just hoped that the spell would work for her.

Kaela could hear Liz outside of the classroom, and Courtney and Hill somewhere behind her. Realizing she had to do something other than stand there, she snapped out of her frozen state and ran to the window. She didn't even consider the fact that she had a broom, as she never used it, and merely waited on the brooms that had already been summoned.

Courtney had summoned her broom many times before, so she was not surprised when her broom made it to the window quickly. As her broom approached, she hopped on, beckoning Kaela to do so as well.

Professor Manteia strode towards the voices and cast Incarcerous without discretion. At this point his temper had begun to get the better of him and he hoped to find a group of students bound in ropes when the darkness powder began to wear off.

Hill had already done this speel several times before and was excited to see her broom fly towards him. "Protego" he cried just in time. She whispered so only those so very close to her could hear. "Straight to your dormatory I think..." She hoped on her broom and out the window.

Professor Manteia knew that brooms had been summoned and began casting Hurling Hexes in the direction of the window as well. Those who chose to flee on brooms may find that they didn't respond very well when urged to leave.

Kaela quickly got on the back of Courtney's broom and wrapped her arms around Courtney, both so that she wouldn't fall off and to let Courtney know she was on.

((( I'm not posting fast enough or something....my posts never make sense..... Okay what did that hurling hex do....should I edit???))))
