Tilly arrived to the pitch holding her bat over her shoulder and her broomstick at her side. She was eager to get started with practice, having found out they were playing with the earlier games. After tryouts, she knew the Hufflepuff team would need to work hard, but they still had a good chance of knocking Slytherin out of their championship streak. She wanted to put Hufflepuff back on the top.

Greeting her teammates as they arrived, she released the Quaffle, snitch, and bludgers. "Our game with Slytherin is coming up quick, and we have a lot of work to do to unseat them as champions. Don't hold back and show me what you've got!" Tilly was last to take to the skies, making sure everyone was getting into position, especially their newer teammates.

[Penelope Marshall]

Penelope was feeling nervous for her first practice and questioning if she should've joined the team a bit. She took to the air once practice started and started looking around.

 

[Zagreus Kohler]

Zagreus was incredibly nervous about his full position on the team, but he was determined to do well. He simply offered Tilly a shy smile as he arrived, listening to what she had to say before swinging a leg over his broom and settling himself in front of the hoops. He could do this.

 

[Renata Stepanova]

Renata was thrilled to be back on the team, especially now she was on the starting lineup. She liked being a part of the Hufflepuff team and hoped they would do even better this year. She went straight for the quaffle as soon as she was in the air, hoping to start training off well.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

René wasn't sure he'd wanted to win a game more than he did this upcoming match. They hadn't managed to get the cup for Lucas' last year but he hoped they could do it for Tilly. Not to mention how much it sucked to have their first match be up against the reigning champions. He gave Tilly a confident nod as he mounted up, setting out to look for bludgers.

 

[Tilly Drage]

Tilly bit her lip as her first bludger of the season hit @Felix Carnahan. Making sure he was OK, she moved to defence. She would need to try her best not to knock out her entire team before they could get some real practice in.

[Felix Carnahan]

Felix could feel the pressure now that he was the starting seeker and wanted to do better than he had during last year's practice. He took to the air and started looking for the snitch. Ouch he also got hit by a snitch like right away. He forgot how much those hurt.

Renata got close to the hoops but did not get the quaffle through them.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

René was impressed when he saw Tilly get a hit immediately, tightening his grip on his bat and hoping he could match her with a hit of his own soon.

Tilly circled the pitch, keeping one eye out for the bludgers and one on the hoops, wondering which chaser which score the first goal.

 

[Felix Carnahan]

Felix kept looking for the snitch.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

Keen to keep up with Tilly, René wound up, swinging hard at the bludger he'd been tailing, grinning as it shot straight towards the other beater. @Tilly Drage

 

[Jordan Harris]

Jordie couldn't be more pleased with his chaser lineup this year. Though he adored Blair, he felt just a little stronger with Renata and Leo by his side. He let Renata have the first throw before catching the quaffle as it came back in. "Good throw, Ren!" He called to her, smiling before starting around again. @Renata Stepanova

 

[Tilly Drage]

Tilly sucked in air through her teeth when Rene's bludger hit her in the ribs. Instinctively, she moved after the bludger, swinging it right back at him. @Rene Tofilau She then moved to protect the rest of her teammates, keeping an eye on Felix and Penelope.

[Renata Stepanova]

Renata flashed Jordie a grin and a thumbs-up, following behind him as he took possession.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

René was pleased to see he managed to actually hit Tilly, though it was short lived as she was able to send the bludger straight back while he'd been busy gloating. René fumbled for his bat, unable to swing wide enough to stop the bludger colliding uncomfortably with his elbow, making his fingers number as it hit his funny bone and nearly made him drop his bat.

Zag stayed ready in front of the hoops, gritting his teeth as he focused on who currently had the quaffle.

 

[Tilly Drage]

Tilly circled the pitch, keeping an eye on her teammates.

 

[Felix Carnahan]

Felix was feeling good about practice still and continued to fly around the pitch.

 

[Rene Tofilau]

Shaking out his arm, René did a lap, not quite wanting to square up with a bludger until he got the feeling back in all his fingers again.

 

[Jordan Harris]

Jordie made his way back around, smiling as he made the shot.

 

[Renata Stepanova]

Renata let out a cheer as Jordie made the shot. She dived in to take possession, hoping to make up for the miss earlier.

 

[Zagreus Kohler]

Zag grumbled to himself as thw quaffle slipped past his stretched fingers. But he diligently snatched it up and threw it back into the game.

 

[Leonardo Orr]

Leonardo fumbled getting into the air, and by the time he was flying well, Renata had the ball for the second time. He chased in next to her. He'd need to work harder.

Renata went to shoot, but the quaffle was easily stopped. She had a bit of derusting to do.
