The ravenclaw quidditch captain, and now seventh year was on the pitch, and had been on the pitch for a few hours, it was such a good honour to once again continue to captain the team, and though he was a little worried about balancing it with his NEWTs, he was more than certain that he would manage fine. The seventh year had done his own training, gone for a run, warmed up in the arm and was now faced with the people hoping to make the team, after the sort poor turn out last year for the the tryouts which had been a truly bad thing for the season overall, he was hoping for more people, better turn out, more people, "Alright," Isaiah began speaking above the crowd, clearing his cough lightly as he addressed the crowd and running his hand through his now back to normal dark brown hair, "Welcome to the Ravenclaw quidditch try-outs, for those who don't know, I'm Isaiah Jeffreys, I play chaser and I'm yourcaptain," the australian boy grew more confident as he spoke to the crowd, "Those who were on the team last year as full members need not try out again, but feel free to fly around and get some practice, new comers, I need your name and what position you'd like to play before you begin," Isaiah told the crowd in a jovial tone as he then released all the different balls for the try-outs, before just allowed the try-outs to get started.

OOCOut of Character:
If you were on the team last year, you're guaranteed your spot so long as you post here before tryouts end, alternates do need to try out again. If you were in the team last year and I forgot you, PM me! Everyone else, we can always use extra players and alternates often get to play, so please try out!

First years must PM me on this account prior to posting if you're interested in trying out. You may only be able to try out if there is a need for additional players.

Tholomyes was feeling pretty over the moon, because while Venus had gone to school in France, and Victoire was also no longer at the school, things with Emma were good, he liked her so much. It was just so easy to, but for now he had a slightly more pressing issue to deal with and that was the quidditch try-outs. They really no longer phased the fourth year who had very much just gotten used to them. He liked quidditch a lot, and it had grown as something that he enjoyed. He liked being able to fly around, and learning to play, and getting better at it was definitely something he had enjoyed. The teen held his broom firmly in his hand looking forward at the captain as the man spoke. Tholomyes just smiled to himself, getting himself ready to just fly, to help out in getting people where they needed to be, aiding in small ways to the overall running of the try-outs. Mostly Tholomyes was just happy to be flying.

Quidditch was something he enjoyed watching, yes, but he used to feel as though it was not something he would be very good at. At least, that had been his feelings on the matter when he was a first year, what, with never actually having flown before in his life before that point. It was why he had avoided the try-outs for two years in a row, almost like he was too nervous to actually get through one without falling off his broom. But now he was thirteen, had actually had two years of flying under his belt and he was not about to let the fact he was a Muggle-Born and had problems with colors get in his way. He just hoped he wouldn't end up accidentally passing to the wrong person, now that would just be incredibly embarrassing. And so, as he stood there on the Quidditch pitch, he tried to look as confident as he possibly could, standing up straight just in case anyone got any ideas to look down on him. He could play Quidditch and he was about to prove it.

"Daylen Wiberg-Rose for Chaser," he announced with a shaky smile. He did allow his eyes to move over the other people trying out for a moment, but he simply pushed them from his mind as he mounted the broom, kicking off hard from the ground. All he needed to do now was put on a good show and hope that he didn't mess anything up too much and not let anyone distract him. Apparently, this was a harder task than he had been anticipating as he started off pretty rough, missing his first shot by some distance. But, thankfully, the longer he was up in the air the better he was getting, it had just taken him awhile to get into the groove of things. He blamed it all on the nerves in the pit of his stomach when he had first started. Now a couple of minutes in he was feeling on the top of his game as he successfully made his shots and even started showing off a little with some flashy passes. Not because he felt like he needed to show off, it was more or just a confidence boost.

When the try-out was finally called to an end, Daylen was a little surprised that it had finished so soon. he was slow as he descended from the air again, sucking in a lungful of breath as he waited to see if he had made the team or not.

The now third year Ravenclaw's excitement grew as she walked down the Quidditch Pitch. The Spring air touched her face with its flowery smell. Today is try-outs day for the Ravenclaw team. Teagan had tried to do as much practice at home as possible while still tending to some of her important stuff as Countess. Arriving at the pitch with her broom in hand, she greeted their captain with a smile and stood beside Zach. The older boy has been like a brother to her and that gave her confidence. As Isaiah took on the stage, he explained everything that everyone had to know while he released the bludger, snitch and threw the quaffle. Teagan on the other hand watched at first before mounting her broom and shooting up the sky. The third year circled around the pitch and hoovered to see the ones trying out for chasers if they were good enough. She just hope she wouldn't see that Asaiah Murphy again.

Zach couldn't believe he was now in his final year at Hogwarts. With no plans for after graduation, mediocre grades and a failed attempt to woo his best friend all Zach had to look forward to was Quidditch. He mad his way onto the pitch with his broom in one hand and his club in another. He was soon joined by Teagan, the hot headed third year Keeper who he had grown to look on as a little sister. Once the captain was finished Zach took to the air and did a few laps before he veered off to help out where he could with the tryouts. When it was finished he returned to the ground. The seventh year was happy with what he saw from the hopefuls and was looking forward to the new season.

Felix made his way inside the Quidditch pitch for the latest tryouts. He had been on the team for a couple of years and was much more comfortable playing the sport than when he first joined. Felix was determined to continue to help the team be successful in the few years he had left and he hoped the tryouts would bring out some young players who could help them improve. Once the captain was done talking Felix mounted his broom and took a few laps round the pitch before he began to pitch in with the tryouts.

Rama Mowry was prepared for something new. The second year was not the type to ask permission to do anything, which was the reason she did not try out for the Quidditch team last year. She spent her time studying for core classes and dealing with incompetent professors. Rama's priorities last year had been settling gently into school, which had not gone as planned either. But, she was prepared for this year. She did not feel that it was going to be different from her first year, but she was prepared for whatever was going to be thrown her way. She had saved up her allowances so she would be able to afford the bare minimum for tryouts, but her confidence was going to make up for her crappy equipment.

The petite girl walked up to the captain. "Rama Mowry. I'm trying out for seeker or an alternate one. It's whatever." she finished her sentence with an eye roll before she mounted her broom and flew into the sky. Her hair was tied into a perfect bun so it would be out of her face. She flew high above the action in search of the snitch. She made sure to keep an eye on what was going on below her because she could catch a glimmer of gold in the midst of the chaos. She also needed to watch her back for bludgers. She was not excited about learning what getting hit felt like, so she would avoid them at all costs. Rama flew circles for a minute or two before she caught a glimpse of the snitch high above the goal. She made a sharp turn around before she flew up higher to prepare for a dive. The golden devil would be easier to attack from the top than it would straight on. Once she felt that she was close enough, she made a sharp dive with her hand outstretched in preparation to catch the snitch. Within seconds she wrapped her fingers around one of the fast moving wings, and she pulled the object into the palm of her hand.

As soon as Rama grabbed the snitch, she let it go so that she could go and catch it again. She let it zoom off before she went after it as fast as she could handle. She caught it several more times before the end was called by the captain. Even if she did not make the team, the Ravenclaw felt like she had accomplished something today.

Izzy missed quidditch over the holidays. She missed being part of the team and play matches against other houses. She walked down to the pitch, her hair tidy and she smiled at Isaiah and the rest of the team. She spotted a few newcomers and hoped they got to be alternates, or whichever positions were available to them. She'd welcome anyone in their team - well anyone good. Having extra people in their team would heighten their chances of playing well, as they'd have players when someone would not be able to play during a specific match. Of course, Isabelle herself would not be too affected if some didn't get to be on the quidditch team. It would be nice but if they were still very young they'd have many chances to try out. Izzy mounted her broom and decided to fly a few laps, observing others and nodding when she felt impressed by their abilities.

Soaring in the skies with on a broom, alongside a flock of birds was everything Flavio could have dreamed about and one of the many reasons he decided to try out for the Ravenclaw quidditch team that year. Another reason was the need to prove himself and make a name in the school. A new need of his that only became apparent since his sister was named head girl. Flavio didn't want to be left behind in the foreground and known for being someone's brother instead of letting his own personality shine and he wanted this year to be the year where he would finally be able come out of his shell. The year he would finally make more friends and be more of an outgoing person. Despite how scary Flavio knew this would be he was ready to make the change and this of course began by attending the quidditch try outs.

Flavio arrived to the pitch seemingly on time, standing with the rest of the group as the captain introduced himself. When prompted, Flavio wasted no time picking up a school broom. "I am Flavio Morales, trying out for Chaser." He said, then mounting the broom and flying into the air like he had done in his flying lessons. When he was in the air he swallowed nervously, taking a moment to calm both his nerves and his shaking hands before moving forward to catch a quaffle as it was thrown to him. He was out of practice and still shaky however he did his best to fly as fast and stable as his body would allow, while securely holding the quaffle under his arm. Eventually he reached one of the sets of hoops and made a shot, frowning when it didn't go in. Trying not to let it bother him, Flavio caught the quaffle again before flying swiftly to the other end of the pitch, making another shot and cheering to himself when he realized the second one was successful. For the remainder of the try outs Flavio continued speeding to each end of the pitch, making shots at the goals with some being successful and some being saved. When the try outs were finally over, Flavio touched back down on the ground and waited eagerly for the captain's decision.
