Isaiah had been surprised when he had been appointed the title of quidditch captain, although he couldn't have been happier with it, Isaiah put all of his effort into this team, he wanted it to succeed as much as it had in the last semester, he doubted that they would win, with so many players leaving, which would alter the line up of the team, but he knew that with a little work they would managed to get back on track and that would make everything so much better and they'd find their rhythm. The ravenclaw had been training hard ever since he had found out about the appointment, so much harder than ever before, he was just so happy with the challenge, he had shared his joy with Keye who had obviously hated the fact that he was taking more in terms of quidditch, especially after his broken arm in the last year, but Isaiah knew that this was right for him, quidditch was the right move and he loved the sport so much.

The ravenclaw quidditch captain was on the pitch, and had been on the pitch for a few hours, he'd down his own training, gone for a run and was now faced with the people hoping to make the team, and for the first time since his appointment the currently blonde boy was feeling nervous, "Alright," Isaiah began speaking above the crowd, clearing his cough lightly as he addressed the crowd, "Welcome to the Ravenclaw quidditch try-outs, for those who don't know, I'm Isaiah Jeffreys, I play chaser and I'm your new captain," the australian boy grew more confident as he spoke to the crowd, "Those who were on the team last year as full members need not try out again, but feel free to fly around and get some practice, new comers, I need your name and what position you'd like to play before you begin," Isaiah told the crowd in a jovial tone as he then released all the different balls for the try-outs, before just allowed the try-outs to get started.

OOCOut of Character:
If you were on the team last year, you're guaranteed your spot so long as you post here before tryouts end, alternates do need to try out again. If you were in the team last year and I forgot you, PM me! Everyone else, we can always use extra players and alternates often get to play, so please try out!

First years must PM me on this account prior to posting if you're interested in trying out. You may only be able to try out if there is a need for additional players.

Theo since the last year had decided that actually maybe quidditch wasn't the worst thing that had ever happened, that it was something he could continue trying to do, but the boy was trying out again, he wanted to try out for a different position, namely beater, after his experiences in the first game, where he'd managed to hit a good number of them, the teen was definitely interested in trying his best and making that position on the team, he didn't trust himself as seeker in the slightest, he didn't want that kind of pressure, so when he reached the quidditch pitch and watched the new captain at the front introduced himself to them and then introduced them to the try-outs, Tholomyes was beginning to feel a little nervous but he knew he probably had a relatively good chance, he'd been an alternate on the team last semester and he'd done pretty well, playing in two of the games, but it didn't stop him feeling so endless nervous about it. Theo wanted to well, he didn't want to fail, but he knew that was a real possibility that he did. The teen took a deep breath as it got started and he stepped forward.

"Tholomyes Fontaine, trying out for beater," the boy said, the nervousness clear in his voice before he got up on his broom and shot up into the sky, the one thing that was different from the last semester was at the very least he was a lot better at flying that he'd been before. He was far more confident, and so, when he was up in the sky doing a few warm up laps at which point he grabbed a beater bat from the ground and actually began practicing, the boy had a few mishaps, and hit the bludger on target a few times, his hits grew in power the more confident he got, and although this was far easier than being a beater on the actual team, he was feeling pretty confident that he had done more than enough to be able to get back on to the team. The teen continued flying, aim and hitting the balls as well as he could, it was a lot of fun, and since he'd been home for the holidays he hadn't had many chances to just practice flying and this right now felt amazing. When the try-outs were finally over, Theo flew back to the ground and smiled at the captain, hoping that he'd managed to make the team and feeling significantly more confident than he had at the end of the last try-outs.

Zach had to admit when he returned to Hogwarts to find Isaiah was the new Quidditch captain hs had to admit he was a little disappointed, a small part of him had been hoping for the honor himself, but the time for disappointment was over, he needed to secure his place on the team and support hia new captain, after all the boy had taken quite the beating for his team last year so he was nothing but dedicated. Zach made his way out onto the pitch once he was changed and held his broom and club in his hands. "Congratulations Isaiah, you'll be a great Captain," With that he mounted his broom and took off on a couple of laps round the pitch before settling to watch the tryouts.

Isabelle Marie had never been fond of brooms since her first year, when she had to attend the flying lessons. However, she had talked to her dad over the holiday and because he seemed excited at the idea of his daughter flying on a broom, Izzy just had to make that extra amount of effort to please him. Besides, if her stepmother thought nothing of Isabelle or didn't like it every time she tried something new, it was even more of a reason to try out. She did want to contribute more this year towards her house. The Ravenclaw hadn't exactly been very involved and because she was already starting her third year she only found it fair if she tried out. Quidditch didn't seem like a bad idea anyway. She was convinced now. That was why she was currently making her way down to the Quidditch Pitch with a mood change on the wizarding sport. If her house needed players, why not give it a go? As soon as she arrived she noticed she wasn't the first one there so she breathed a sigh of relief. She made her way over to the new captain and smiled at him in reassurance - she knew he would be a great captain, she could tell. She had seen him around the previous year but she could never remember his name.

When he introduced himself, Isabelle picked a school broom that was lying on the ground in front of her housemates and waited for Isaiah to be done with his speech. She had read many books on how to fly, and with her father's help (despite their arguments) Izzy had been able to learn the rules of flying on a broom. Today her learning was going to be tested. She was growing very fond of Ravenclaw house and would do anything for them, she knew that now. Including playing and competing for them. The school had so much to offer so she was definitely going to take advantage of that. It was a good thing her so-called "mother" made her train every day for at least two hours. That woman sure knew what she was doing. "
Isabelle Marie, trying out for seeker," she said easily when it was her turn. She figured trying out for something she was good for might help her house. After all, she was great at observing people, things and also finding lost things. She thought it to be a genetic thing, her biological mother had been able to find Izzy's lost toys when she was really young. She concentrated on the task at hand and when instructed kicked off the ground, wobbling a bit at first but a minute later getting the hand of it and the feel of the broom. She breathed in deeply, she loved the wind on her face. The snitch had been released when she flew off. To her surprise she found the snitch after twenty minutes. Not bad at all. The second and third time she tried seeking, she had found the small ball within fifteen. The time was lessening every try Isabelle had and in the end she found the snitch within seven minutes. Who knew mom was this good, she thought to herself, smiling and landing on the ground. She was proud of what she had achieved today.

The Ravenclaw Royal looked at herself in front of the mirror, tightening her ponytail. It was the day she'd been waiting for, the Quidditch try outs. Teagan Maxwell had done everything to be good at the game as well as knowing each position in case there's only one position available for them trying out. She summoned her broom in her hand and stared at the mirror again, she actually looks good with it. After doing some posing, Teagan head out of the Ravenclaw common room and onto the Quidditch pitch. Noticing first the signs by the hoops as she entered. She narrowed her eyes to read the almost tiny letters from her vantage point, Quidditch Kills. The young Ravenclaw was takenaback, you only get killed if you're stupid enough not to dodge a bludger she thought to herself and continued walking to the group in the center of the field.

Teagan's dad didn't hire a private Quidditch coach just for her to fail because of distraction. Arriving just to catch a bit of the rules of the try outs, she step up in front a bit and said, "Teagan Maxwell, here to try out for the Keeper position." Her thick Irish accent seems to come out when she's nervous which is rare for her. Teagan is always confident all the time with her title and all ... she had to be. After giving her name and position she's trying out, she mounted her broom and with a sigh of relief, Teagan kicked off the ground and into the air. Her sweaty hands almost made her slipped off the handle but immediately regained the handle like nothing happened. Positioning herself in front of the tall middle hoop facing the chasers, Teagan said her last prayer on her mind and wiped her sweaty hands on her jeans.

The first throw was on the left lower hoop but she was fast enough that her brooms tail blocked it like a tennis ball. The young lady was cheering from the inside as she went back to her earlier position. Another throw came in on the same hoop, Teagan caught the quaffle by her finger tips making it short to in. The chasers continued to throw unexpectedly to her but it seems Teagan had already read their moves and blocked all of them, except the last one because of some girl on the stands yelling something about Quidditch. Teagan glared at the girl from the stands and cursed her under her breath. The young Ravenclaw just hope that they'll take it into consideration.

The sight of a protest in the stands wasn't enough to distract Felix from the tryouts. In his first year on the team Ravenclaw had won the title and he and he had been ecstatic but now he was focused on being more involved and scoring more goals for the team as they looked to defend their championship. Felix changed into his practice robes and headed out onto the pitch, he congratulated the new captain Isaiah, Felix wasn't surprised by the choice for captain, the boy had shown extreme dedication to his team last season and he knew that he would be a great leader. Felix mounted his broom and took a few laps of the pitch to warm up before he joined his team mates to help out with the trials.

All Lucas Chase needed to do was to show up for the try outs. He would hold his position until then. He approached the pitch, wearing his Ravenclaw Quidditch robes and his sapphire streak in his hand. He narrowed his eyes at the others that were trying out, but did notice that there were a lot of open positions right now. Three to be exact. Well, they did have a lot of seventh year players in the day. He was almost sad to see Serenity go, but oh well. He would have to show up his skills during the game. He looked toward Isaiah and gave him a nod for congrats, before folding his arms across his chest. He waited to see how the try outs would go before he could go up and join them.
