Melanie smiled properly as she danced. She moved with the music as she had been taught to in her lessons. She was getting good and it felt pretty awesome to know she was good at something other than fighting. She had cleared out the room, pushing the furniture to the sides of the room, it was abandoned anyway, no one would mind, and she had used magic to get music playing.

Melanie continued her routine, moving perfectly with the music. She was in this room about three days a week practising the art of her dance and it was paying off. She was moving in time almost perfectly with the music and was loose with her movements but not too loose that it looked sloppy. Of course there were bits she could fix and improve but she was getting so much better than she had thought she would be at this point.

Melanie finished her peice and reached for her towel, on one of the tables at the back of the room. Her back was to the door and she didn't notice the person standing there. She wasn't on gaurd, she was calm and that wasn't a normal thing or a good thing in this case. She had just began her stretching, making sure she wouldn't end up with pulled muscles in the morning. She had learnt it was a neccessity to stretch and she had learnt it the hard way. Her dancing used a lot of muscles and it hurt a lot when they all got pulled at once.

Jerrod sighed and walked out of the common room with Pluto wrapped over his shoulders. The python was his easieast way of scaring little kids here and he had fun doing it. At least it was something to do while he had finished all his homework. It wasn't like he could hang out with Lily. She was in too much of a bad mood from splitting up with Logan. She ended up hitting him all the time saying he shouldn't be such an annoying pig of a boy.

Jerrod smiled as he heard music. He had a feeling he knew who it was but he at least wanted to make sure. He opened the door a crack and when he realised he was right he pushed it all the way open. Melanie didn't seem to notice that Jerrod was there so he just smiled at the amazing show he was getting. After all, Melanie was very beautiful in his eyes.

Jerrod couldn't stop himself from talking. He just wanted to talk with her, get to know her better, see what was going on in her life. The normal stuff really. "Hey, Melanie. How are you??" He grinned at her.

"What the...?" Melanie jumped at the sound of someone talking behind her, she recognised the voice but couldn't place it, it was someone she knew that much was obvious. She looked up at the person, not looking before hand, and felt a sharp pain in the back of her head as she watched the person in front of her become more and more blurry as he seemed to be moving up somehow. In reality, she had hit her head on the corner of the table and was falling down.

Melanie sight was almost completely gone with blurriness as she hit the floor. The blow she had already recieved slowed her reflexes and she didn't manage to stop herself from hitting the ground. Once again the brunette felt pain in her head but this time it was only around for a millisecond. Then everything stopped, there was no sound, no smells, no feeling. Everything went black, there was nothing.

Jerrod's eyes widened as he saw Melanie fall and hit her head. He ran as fast as could towards her, plonking Pluto down on the floor as he went. He lifted her shoulders off the ground and supported her head in his lap. "Melanie!! Are you ok?!" He could feel his pulse racing and didn't know what to do. His hand rested on the side of her face as he looked down at the motionless body. He had never been in this sort of situation before.

As Jerrod looked at Melanie, he realised just how stunning she actually was. He had always thought of her as pretty but he never saw her this close before. She always seemed to be moving so he could never get a proper look at her. His breath slowed along with his heart beat and he continued to keep his eyes on her. "Melanie. Wake up." He didn't want to raise his voice anymore. It would just make her feel worried when she woke up. "Please, Melanie."

Melanies' body was limp as she was moved by Jerrod. Her face was slowly growing plaler the bigger the growing pool of blood got. Her pulse was slowing but her breathing remained normal. The brunette's hair was slowly becoming sticky as it was spread with her own blood. Slowly bruises began to show signs of appearing, one on her arms were she had almost reacted to the fall and some hidden under her hoodie where her ribs had been bashed on the stone floor of the classroom.

(Sorry, not much you can roleplay as passed out)

Jerrod took his jacket of and put it over her wound to stop the blood from flowing. He had no idea what to do but he knew he should try and stop the flow of blood. "Melanie, please, wake up." He was starting to feel desperate now. He knew he needed help but he didn't want to leave Melanie. He knew Melanie needed him to help her but he had no idea what to do. He was starting to feel like it was his fault. If he hadn't destracted her then she wouldn't have fallen.

Jerrod leant against the table and rested Melanie's head on his chest so his jacket was shoved against the wound. She had to wake up at some point. It felt like hours were passing and she was still asleep. Jerrod's eyes started drooping as he got tired. He had nothing to do and he didn't get much sleep. Eventually, he couldn't keep his eyes open any longer and fell asleep with his arms wrapped around Melanie.

Melanie stirred slightly before waking up. Her head hurt like hell and her vision was blurry but she was awake. She was also wondering who was hugging her. The brunette went to get up but felt dizzy and found she also hurt her chest. She winced in pain and lead beck down onto the chest of whoever was with her. She attempted to look up to see who was holding her but it hurt to uch to turn her head.

Melanie tried to identify the person by other aspects of them. She guessed the person was a boy by the lack of cushion her head had at the moment, not including the jacket that seemed to be putting pressure on the most tender part of her head. She didn't recognised the clothes but there was something familiar about the smell. Just as her eyes were about to close again, leading her into another deep sleep, it hit her. "Jerrod?" Her voice came out as a quiet moan so she tried again. "Jerrod." Her voice was louder and clearer this time.

Jerrod thought he heard a noise but he didn't hear it properly. He was still half asleep and had no idea where he was or what he was doing. Then he heard the noise again and suddenly remembered. His eyes shot open and he looked down at Melanie. "Hey." He was careful not to move too much in case he hurt her. "Are you OK?? Where does it hurt??" He was concerned about her but he loved the feel of having her in his arms. It was a feeling he couldn't explain because he had never felt it before. "Do you need me to go and get anyone or anything??"

Melanie went to shake her head but stopped herself. "It's okay, do you mind telling me why my head hurts so much?" She couldn't reember anything. Of course she remembered her dancing and then her stretches but that was it. It had to be something majorfor her head and chest to hurt this badly, not to mention other parts she hadn't discovered yet.

Melanie went to sit up again and winced. She hated feeling like this, she was properly vunerable for the first time, or so it felt like, and it scared her. What scared her more was how safe she felt just because Jerrod was there. It was intense and she wasn't sure she liked it much. "Hey, actually, do you think you could maybe heal me or find someone to do it? I can't get up." If worst came to worst she could deal with being carried but she knew it would be more than just uncomfortable.

Jerrod helped Melanie sitting up. "Careful. I expect that would be majorly painful." Jerrod didn't want to imagine how painful it would be. He had been through a few different injuries in his life but he wasn't the kind of person that got injuries just so he looked cool so he tended to try and keep his bones in tact. Especially when he needed to look over Lily.

Jerrod racked through his brain trying to think of a healing spell. "I know one but I've only used it once so I can't guarentee the outcome." He laughed slightly. "Would you like to risk it or shall i take you to the hospital wing??" Jerrod didn't want to do anything against her will when she was in so much pain so he was only going to do the spell if she gave him the ok. Otherwise he would have to carry her to a nurse. He didn't want to leave her alone when she could barely sit up by herself.

Melanie couldn't help but cry out in pain as she was lifted into the sitting position. It hurt a lot and her head began to spin again, partnered with blurry vision. The only thing she could really make out was the blonde hair and clothed body of her friend. She reached out, ignoring the painnow, she was getting used to all of it apart from the one in her head, and grabbed onto him as tight as she could.

"Healer." Melanie whispered at him. She took one hand away from Jerrods' clothing and touched the soft spot on the back of her head. Her hand came away red, she wasn't bleeding as much as before but she was bleeding. Melanie looked up at Jerrods' face, panicking. "Fast. Please." She could feel herself slipping again, she didn't want to pass out again.

Jerrod nodded to her as he moved one arm behind her back and the other under her legs. "You ready??" He waited for her to say yes before lifting her up off the floor and carrying her out of the room to the hospital wing. He needed to go fast but he didn't want to go so fast that it would put her in more pain than she was already in.

When Jerrod got Melanie to the hospital wing, he put her on one of the beds and got the attention of the closest nurse. "Nurse, she needs your help now." Jerrod had never been one for manners but the nurse couldn't exactly say no to someone with blood pouring out of their head. He watched as she cast a few spells on Melanie's body. He had no idea what most of them were so he went into a daydream, hoping she was ok and that there wouldn't be any permanent damage.
