Ro certainly hadn't been expecting to appear at the Yule Ball this year. After all, he wasn't even supposed to be in this school until he'd randomly decided to head back to New Zealand despite Euthalia's insistence that he stay with her. He was determined to enjoy tonight though, since his date, Maggie, seemed to be a fun person to be around if the way she'd asked him was any indication. He hoped she would have fun too and he wanted to try to make sure that she did, since he didn't want her to regret asking him, not that he knew much about dating anyone. Was this even that? It was just attending the ball together after all. He waited for Maggie in the common room and they walked down together, he was mostly silent because he didn't really know what to say. She looked amazing, but he wasn't sure how to tell her that and so he kept glancing at her from the corner of his eyes, covered a little by his glasses. The dress suited her and the shoes were cool. Once they got to the Great Hall though, Ro licked his lips and looked between dance floor, where he saw a bunch of couples together and the food table also looked like a good stop. "What did you want to do first?" He asked, smiling softly at her. He didn't even know why he was nervous, he'd been much more confident when she'd first asked him.
