Head Boy. How ridiculous that felt on his tongue, and yet he was it. Head boy. It had always been something he'd thought about, but the fact he had it, the fact that he was the head boy was beyond him. The teen had done plenty around the school that much was clear, he had good grades but it still felt odd that it was him. Isaiah had enjoyed being prefect but this was a new layer of responsibility that he hadn't thought he would ever be thrust with. Isaiah had in the back of his mind always thought it would just go to someone else, he hadn't known who but he had never believed it would go to him, he had thought it would sooner go to his roommate than it would to him. And yet he, Isaiah was the head boy. The ravenclaw's family was proud, his dads were damn proud of him and his father had confided in his prior to coming to school that he was really proud of him, that his mother would've been proud. It had been an odd moment between him and his father, Isaiah couldn't remember the last time he'd been like that towards him, towards his younger brothers sure, but in the years that had followed Isaiah's mother's death the relationship had crumbled, it was only in the last few years that things seemed to repairing itself. That was not to say that Isaiah didn't, or hadn't loved his father because he had always deeply loved his father but the trust had fallen away, that was finally changing for the better.

The head boy stood at the lake front, he was standing looking out at the water, he adjusted the beanie on his head and just tucked his hands back into his jumper pockets, his mind was drawing a blank over what to do, he had quidditch to practice, he had books to study, he had a student to supposedly lead, and his mind only wanted to stare out at the lake. Over the break, the boy had grown a little more, no longer being one of the smaller kids in the year group, he had lost most of the baby fat around his face that had lingered, his hair was back to it's natural dark colour and he had slight stubble that seemed to be slowly growing on his face. Isaiah rubbed his chin feeling the stubble on his face. Isaiah had grown up a lot it seemed over the space of a year, but it seemed to be a trait he'd taken after his father, both had been short until they'd suddenly sprouted up. The teen kicked the ground at his feet, kicking the rocks into the water, watching as the water rippled around where each rock had fallen. It was surely going to be a great year, after all following the last year, it was a fairly low bar as to what would be counted as a great year, if none of the student body died then it would be a success. Isaiah really didn't want that to happen, and his gaze lingered on the water thinking of what had happened before shaking the thoughts from his head. The head boy ran a hand across his face, this year would be better, he make sure of it. Surely being head boy was no different than being a big brother, and Isaiah was a great big brother, with that thought, he felt a smile grace his features and he kicked more rocks into the water.
