Alois Eisler was departing from his daily ritual. Usually, his idea of preparation involved a warm shower, a run in the morning which he had learned from a friend, and ensuring his teeth were brushed.

Today was different though.

From the moment he was woken from a deep sleep, something was already bothering him. Just the other day, he had met Jack Evans, though he had tried not to talk to him at all, he had seemed to recognize him, which is pretty bad he knew. Not that he was scared of what he might do, but rather, he didn't want to have anything to do with him, he didn't want to cause any unnecessary both to himself, as well as the other persons involved. Yet, he knew that meeting Jack was inevitable, it would always happen no matter how hard he tried to prevent it, they had common friends it seemed, and they seemed to have shared the same feeling against each other, though in his case, his feeling of resentment wasn't as strong as the boy's.

Today was definitely different. He looked at himself in the mirror, running his fingers through his hair, he didn't know what it was that the older boy wanted to talk abut, yet, he already had this vague idea of what it would be. Looking at himself one last time, he picked up his satchel and prepared himself to meet up with the said person.

The walk to the abandoned classroom seemed to be quite longer than the usual, that when he had arrived there, he let out a sigh of relief, seeing that no one was there yet, yet, he also knew that that would just delay their confrontation, that sooner or later, the older boy would just arrive and start questioning him

Jack walked out from behind a pillar in the abandoned classroom. As the younger boy approached, he smiled coldly at him and stood there, his wand in his hand. Tapping it against his leg, he found sparks of red flying out as a sign of his impatience and anger at the unknown boy. Having a random feeling that he shouldn't judge this boy yet, he found himself thinking over other things. Important things to raise and make this arrogant yet unknown boy see the sense that clouded Jack's sight. He had made sure that no one else had come and that no one else knew the exact timings of the meeting, so none of Alois' annoying 'pals' would come and distract the problem at hand. "You." He greeted, his tone cold and blank.

Alois quickly urned around when he heard someone spoke, that voice was too familiar for him to even miss it. Yes, he had barely talked to the owner of the said voice, but the encounters that they had was enough to make him remember who he was. "Evans." He muttered, his face blank as he is though his voice is not as cold. He would have done anything to make this meeting end, yet, he knew himself that that was far from possible. The older boy seemed to have a lot to say, and though try as he might, he knew that he'd have to listen to it, for though they haven't really talked to each other, their encounters were even minimal, they had seemed to learn to hate each other's guts, which might have been a little ironic at first, seeing that they really didn't know anything about each other anyways.

Jack raised his eyebrows at the greeting. Well, if you could call it that. It was more of an acknowledgement, a statement. Smirking, he leaned against the pillar and raised his eyebrows. Unsure of how to start the conversation that he needed to have, he stopped the wand tapping and stared at Alois for a few seconds, before beginning to speak. "So, you dated my cousin. Amelia Johnson." He started, aware that he was stating the obvious and also using her full name. Unsure of how far it had gone and what had passed between the two, he felt too uncomfortable to use her common name, Amy. For what anyone else would think, would be that this boy, slightly sadistic and evil, was stating facts for why he had a grudge against the boy in front of him. But anyone who knew Jack or his story well enough, would know that he was doing this as a protective friend and cousin.

So his suspicions were right, this Jack that he was talking to was the same Jack that Amelia was talking about before. But really, he hadn't really expected that Amelia's cousin and Adrie's current partner was the same person as well, just how playful can fate be? "Amy? I guess... yes." He said, his voice calm though he could see that Jack was actually trying really hard to actually control his temper at the moment. Amelia was actually still a good friend of him until now, they do write to each other too. She's a really great friend of his even though their relationship before had seemed like more of that of a friend. But he did care for her, she seemed like a sister to him now. "Is that all that you have to say?" He then asked, not trying to come off as rude or anything, he had heard from Amelia that Jack was actually quite protective of her, and now, he could see what she meant. He then began to wonder how many others had been in the same position as him before, but actually, that didn't matter right now. For from the looks of it, Jack wasn't going to stop talking to him just yet.

Jack frowned at the boy again. He was giving reserved answers, ones that would answer the question and nothing else. So, if he wanted Jack to push him, then that is what he would do. "Firstly, you can tell me how far you went with her and what happened. And no, that isn't all i have to say." Jack said, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at the boy standing in front of him. Amy had been very careful not to mention him more than once, and this in itself made Jack suspicious. Either she was very protective of him, or he had done something bad or been mean to her and she was in fear of him. But the latter probably wasn't right. To be honest, Amy feared no one. Not even Jack. No, she had a power over Jack that he couldn't explain. And there was nothing he could do to stop this, nothing he could do to keep her safe if she wouldn't let him. He knew that most people would walk away and leave by now, forget about her, but he couldn't. She was his cousin and seeing as her parents had done such a rubbish job, he had taken it upon himself. A big responsibility that was beginning to drain him, especially with her new rebellious phase.

Jack was indeed to protective for his own good it seemed, and well, it was not everyday that one would meet someone like him, and kind of amuses Alois, Jack was in a way, the same with his cousin, the only difference was the age and the way of confronting someone that had just happened to get attached to the ones that they care too much for. "How far did I go with her? That sounds rather... weird Evans." He said, sounding rather serious though what he had said was just something that someone might have laughed about, but he was just stating the truth, the way Jack phrases his questions was rather weird for him, at least, that was just his opinion. "What do you mean by that anyway? I have a great respect for her alright? There's nothing for you to worry about, really." He added, this time, his tone was that of a casual one. Maybe if they met on another circumstance, him and Jack should have been friends, but by the looks of it now, it seemed as if, it will be a long way before they could actually get along.

Narrowing his eyes at the boy standing in-front of him, Jack had to admit that he had approached this whole conversation with the wrong angle. But, what could he do about it? Now, now he had his reputation and he wasn't about to stand down to the younger kid unless a reasonable argument was placed at his feet. His wand still in his hand he listened to the voice of the boy, trying to keep calm. The tone was serious yet casual at the same time and Jack frowned to himself, trying to work the boy out. "Just tell me how you two met, what happened and why you aren't together anymore. Then, we can move on to other issues." He stated, his tone showing that he didn't want any un-needed blabber. No, he just needed the truth, however it came, he needed it.

Alois was quite sure that he was starting to get on Jack's nerves due to his short responses to his questions. But what can he do then? All he would ever want to do was just to answer all his questions in a straight forward manner, after all, he had nothing to hide from him, he did no wrong, and honestly, he couldn't see the point of arguing. It would have been better if they had just gotten to talk over matters in a more casual way than meeting like this. Sighing as the older boy had once again , fired his question, Alois knew that he would have to satisfy the guy's curiosity just so he would be able to get out of this unnecessary mess already. "It was just a casual and friendly meeting actually, we just talked, ate together, watched the sunset, and play board games, that's all." He said, remembering that one day when he had met Amelia who is now one of the most important persons in his life. He couldn't bring himself though to tell Jack that he had been to Amelia's room, for though they never did anything unnecessary, who know's what the guy would think once he heard him say even a single word about it. The next question had caught him off guard, though it had been a long time already since they had broke up, it still bring him some pain. "I'm not entirely sure about that really, but it just felt like, it would be better if we would just stay as good friends." He replied, his tone was much softer than before, but he didn't regret his choice then, for at least, until now, Amelia and him were still good friends, it's better than them having any issues in their relationship, right?

OOCOut of Character:
Hey, sorry for this really late reply, had some problems at home that needed to be sorted out. But everything's fine now, so yeah, sorry once again.

(OOC: RUI! I was wondering where you went :r glad that you are back now though and that everything is sorted out :) )

Jack tapped his foot lightly on the ground and inbetween tapping it on the floor, tapped his wand on his leg. The rhythm started quickly but he gradually slowed it down, bringing his temper with it. This was the best way to calm down quickly he had found, after his lessons with his old mentor who had got him worked up when he couldn't pull off the trickier and harder spells. Smirking at the boy who was now being less arrogant and giving him better answers, he smiled at him. The smile wasn't cold like the others, but it wasn't warm and happy-go-lucky either. It was a warning to stay at the same level of peace with Jack and he would do the same in return. Nodding to the words that he heard, he quickly traced his mind back to the other problems that he had to confront this boy about. He was satisfied, not happy, but satisfied with the answers given. "And what would you say about what happened with Adalyn?" He asked, thinking of his friend who had been disappointed after Alois and her had kissed and then he hadn't taken it any further by asking her out. Jack didn't know the full story behind it, and would let this issue pass lightly if Alois could give a good explanation.

OOCOut of Character:
Sorry about that. The atmosphere at home had been pretty awkward the past few days, so I haven't been able to go here. Anyway, I'm really happy that everything seems to be going fine now. :D

Alois had to sigh once again when Jack began to ask once again. Why does fate had to be so cruel to him by then that everyone that he knew had to be connected to Jack in some way? It would have been fine if their connection was good and harmonious and that there was no ill feelings between him and Jack, but no. "Adalyn?" He started, feeling quite unhappy as he heard the name. His meeting with Adalyn hadn't been good, it was really unstable in his opinion. There had been times when they would argue, then times when they'd be able to understand each other a little, but at the end, the result was not what he had expected, he hadn't been able to really know who she really was. "What happened to her? Can you be more specific on that question?" He continued, he didn't want to give him the wrong answer if ever what it was that he thinking was different from what he was really asking. He just wanted everything to end already, cause as time pass by between them, he felt like, he was being forced to tell everything out.

(OOC: Don't apologise  its not your fault! :D )

Jack smirked at the boy's attitude to the question. "Don't play stupid, it doesn't suit you." He commented, throwing in a compliment under the words for the boy. Alois had a gained a growing respect from Jack from the way that he was dealing with him and Jack smiled inside, seeing that this boy had the brains and calmness to become a good friend if they could iron out the creases in the way that they were connected through people that they had both met. A spark of sympathy ran through Jack for a moment, feeling sorry for this boy who had been called here to discuss problems that he probably wished to forget. Jack however, could see this but knew his own desperation behind all of the questions was greater than any sympathy that he could feel for the unique character standing in front of him. Hearing the sigh at the subject, Jack frowned and softened his approach by a miniscule. "Adalyn Jez. 4th year. Quite pretty, she is in a band and sings. You met her before, she told me." He stated, feeling the need for Alois to finish the story for him before he could continue to the next subject. "She seemed slightly upset. She said something about kissing and you turning her down. Expand." He stated, his tone back to bored but commanding, eager for this certain issue to be over so he could move on to the final subject - Gwen.

Alright.

Little by little, Alois felt that their conversation was starting to be a little less awkward, at least, that stiff atmosphere and that rather cold approach earlier was starting to die down, or at least, it seemed to be more calmer now. "I'm not playing stupid." He said, though he didn't feel offended in anyway, he just felt like he should answer back to that statement. Alois was the type of guy who's not that easy to be angered, he takes everything calmly as much as he can. He dislike being emotional, and he certainly didn't like any confrontations or arguments that could have been resolved if only both parties would try to actually listen out. He was quite thankful though that Jack was willing to listen to him, that makes things a lot more easier. "You don't really need to describe her, I know her." It was pretty amusing that the guy had gone to describe Adalyn for him, but he knew that the guy was being serious, it was evident in his face, his actions, as well as in his tone. "I didn't turn her down, you're misunderstanding things." It was true that Adalyn had kissed him before, but that thing, he didn't really expect, and besides, he's not one who would just go around randomly kissing anyone even though they had just met. He had too much respect for girls for him to do that. "I just didn't want to hurt her, alright? I didn't want her to feel like she's being used."

Jack waved his next comment away with a impatient hand gesture. He didn't need Alois to continue responding to everything he said. Truth be told, Jack could see that he was fighting a losing battle here, Alois was in the right and Jack could sense that he was overreacting. But, his pride got in the way and he decided that he would sink with the ship and then make friends with the kid if he could. That was the best and the only situation that Jack could currently see happening and he smiled to himself, despite his attempt to keep cold and calm. "Well then, why didn't you answer me before?" He asked, confused at the logic behind this boys statements and questions. He was either making fun of Jack, something that he would never live to do again, or he was just confused as to the reason behind Jack's questioning. If he was honest, Jack had to admit that these questions and criticisms had come to him when in a rage and therefore they were the dying remains of a fire. That was probably the reason behind why Jack was keeping his cool, he didn't want the fire to reignite and there to be disastrous consequences again. "So why did you kiss her then?" He asked, his eyes narrowing as he listened to the contradicting statements of Alois and the contradicting story that Adalyn had told him. Maybe, just maybe, Jack had been so against this Alois that he hadn't bothered to take in all the details, but that was only a maybe in his opinion.

Alois had to run a hand to straighten his hair out as the guy started to talk once again. It seemed as if there would be no end to his questionings, which is getting pretty tiring if he may say so. But then again, he couldn't just turn his back and walk away, he needed to sort things out as quickly as possible, straighten out the misunderstandings, and just let this Evans guy know what he wanted to know. That would be the easiest was out of this mess. "I didn't expect that you know her as well." He answered honestly, leaning against the wall as he did so. Of course, it would only be logical that Jack did know Adalyn, after all, they were all in the same school, what's surprising though was that Adalyn had talked to him, and from the looks of it, they seemed to quite know each other if she had been able to tell him the story of what had happened between them. "I didn't kiss her, now, why don't you just tell me the things that you know, and I'll explain everything?" There seemed to be a great deal of confusion between what Jack knew and what had actually happen, or perhaps, Jack just thought things out differently, that thing, he needed to be sure of.

Jack sighed and paused the interrogation as Alois ran his hand through his hair - a trait that Jack himself did a lot - and leaned against the wall. Watching the boy suspiciously, he kept his wand in his hand by loosened his grip slightly. "That would be pushing it to say i know her well, but we have met and she did tell me about what happened." He admitted, shrugging as he did so and thinking of his new friend Adalyn whom he hadn't spoken to, but had had a laugh with. Laughing at the memory of the drink spillage, he turned his attention back to Alois. The boy had managed to skive answering the question again and now Jack was getting bored. He just wanted an answer so that it could all be over with, and then it would be finished and they could work on perhaps becoming friends. "Im asking the questions here." He simply said, not wanting it to turn around so that Alois was pestering him. He wouldn't stand for that and if it went that far, Jack would be more than tempted to use his wand. "Well you kissed." He shrugged, not caring who started it, just knowing the simple but large fact that they kissed. If Alois was going to play dumb Jack would happily give a detailed explanation of what a kiss was in his opinion, but to be honest, he couldn't be bothered.

A smirk had graced Alois' face as he heard Jack's statement. That would be typical of Adalyn to not let anyone get that close to her, but even so, that didn't change the fact that Adalyn had told him the things that had happened between them. It was enough proof to him, that even by little, Adalyn seemed to trust this older guy, which is pretty sad then, cause it seemed to him that when Adalyn had been able to tell just a bit of her story to Jack, she wasn't able to do that to him at all. That smirk though was instantly wiped off his face as Jack denied his request for him to tell everything that he knew. So it would be one sided then, it would just be him doing all the answering, it was pretty unfair then, but then again, he wouldn't voice that thought out loud, he would just then let him do what he wanted to do. "Fine, we kissed if that is what you believed, are you satisfied now?" He wasn't in anyway, attempting to be rude and all, but he figured that further explaining would be unnecessary as the more he deny the said act, the more it is that Jack would eventually get irritated, which is not what he wanted. "Now, what else do you want to know?"

Jack sighed and rolled his eyes at the smirk that appeared on the arrogant boy's face. Rubbing his eyes with his hand, he sighed and listened to the contradicting statement to the previous one that he had made. "Good. Now don't lie to me." He said, his voice dead and plain, showing no emotions at all. Unsure of how to bring up the next topic, he smirked and waited for the theatrical pause, whilst leaning against the wall. He knew that it would be a sensitive subject for Alois, because of what Adalyn had told Jack about Alois liking Gwen, and also the way that Gwen had reacted when Jack raised the topic with her. Rolling his eyes once more, he looked into Alois' eyes and without a single emotion on his poker face, he gripped his wand again tighter, preparing to stop the boy if he reacted badly. A few curses, hexes and spells about to roll off his tongue, a sprinkling of red sparks flew out, showing Jack's emotion on the subject and warning Alois to stay at a distance. For this topic, Jack would take no responsibility for his actions for this moment onwards. Smirking his annoying smirk again, he raised his eyebrows. "Talk to me about...." Pausing again for a theatrical moment, he continued. "Gwen." Finishing this sentence, he knew that this boy shouldn't play stupid because it was in both of their minds already that the other knew about this girl probably more than they should.

Alois frowned as he heard the older boy's statement. As much as he tried to control his emotions and stay calm, the way that the guy talk was just starting to irk him a little. Sighing as he shook his head to prevent himself from getting any more frustrated, Alois looked at him straight into the eyes, and paused. "I never lied to you." He said flatly, even if Jack would believe him or not, he was telling the truth, he didn't need to hide anything after all, for he had done no wrong, at least that is what he thought. Another sigh had escaped his lips when Jack started to play with his wand, obviously, whatever it was that he was thinking was not something that would do any of them good. Crossing his arms in front of his chest, he braced himself for the expected question from the older boy. Hopefully, this would be last. The next words that came out from Jack's mouth was enough to shaken Alois a bit. Of course, he had expected him to ask about her, for she was probably the real reason why Jack was confronting him now. "What do you want to know about her?" a lump formed on his throat as he asked the said question, he knew that this topic could never be avoided, and that he should just face every question that would be thrown unto him, he just hoped that whatever his answers would be, Adrie would not be affected or anything, for he didn't care about whatever would happen to him by then, what's important was that, he wouldn't cause Adrie any heartache after this encounter.
