It was quite warm outside. Warmer than usual, but not quite hot. The library was packed with students studying for exams, murmuring words to one-another. The student lounge, on the other hand, was strangely quiet with it's many usual 'residents', outside, taking advantage of the lovely weather and dipping their toes into the lake. Dakota was one of a few students who remained in the room; she was sat in one corner, on a rather firm chair, studying. She would have been outside with her friends, having a laugh and playing silly games.. She would have if she had had any.

Dakota sighed, turning to the next page of her second year History of Magic book- she was re-reading all of her books, so far. After all, Dakota had no intention of failing her O.W.Ls. Just then, she heard someone falling over and she looked up to see a young Ravenclaw with a book in his hand, also seeking a quiet place to study. She watched him stand up, dust himself off and find a seat. Dakota smiled to herself and glanced about the room, eyes fixing on the doorway, on someone familiar. Her breathing became silent. Tension filled the air. Dakota wasn't sure how things really were between them, anymore. She continued to hold up her book, bracing herself for the worst.

Madison walked into the library. She wasn't here by choice. She'd failed to do her homework, and now she was having to make up for it. On entering she saw someone, whom since they'd started hogwarts had been forever growing further and further apart. Her twin sister Dakota. If you were to tell anyone they were twins, Maddie would doubt they'd be believed, however as much as she hated the fact she'd managed to get into Ravenclaw, she was willing to put that behind her to get on with the important stuff. "Haven't seen you in a while" she said, joining her sister and throwing her bag on the desk. She glanced at the book in her arms. "History of Magic?" she questioned, "You are re-reading those books?" she looked almost horrified.
