What was your initial thought when you were contacted about being spotlighted?
Initial reaction would be...shock with a hint of surprise I'm still grinning like an idiot

What was the inspiration for your character?
Well when I first joined HNZ I didn't know what RPing was or what I was meant to be doing. So I made Pat and I just started RPing with no real idea about what I was going to do with her. I've taken in bits of my RL self and put them into Pat (her name being an obvious part ). So there was no real inspiration but over the past year and a bit I've been able to develop her character in ways I never even thought possible

What is your favourite RP that your character has taken part in?
Oh, there has been so many that I've enjoyed RPing in. Obviously the one where Pat found out that Kalif Styx was her father was an epic one. I had to do it all by myself so it's definitely not my best. But again, it's hard to say which is my favourite.

What is your favourite aspect of your character?
To me, Pat is a very normal 15 year old. One thing I like about Pat is, unlike most of her classmates she doesn't care to be in a relationship as she thinks she's too young to care about that kind of thing. Although, recently certian events has got her thinking about relationships, but she's still in no rush

Your least favourite aspect?
Pat is a relatively smart girl and mature for her age, but sometimes she doesn't see what's in clearly in front of her. She can sometimes be slow on the uptake of things and has to have them explained fully to her. This ties in with her not caring about having a relationship, boys are a mystery to her.

If you could meet your character in real life would you want to? Why or why not?
That would be a yes! As I've said Pat is a lot like me in certain ways and I would love the chance to see what other people see when they meet me.

What do you feel your strength in developing characters is?
When I have a new character to mold I will spent a lot of time thinking about what I want that character to be like and I will try to plot with them as soon as possible so I can get RPing. I find when RPing as a character that I have no real plans for, their personality and all other details simply falls into place allowing me to develop them even more as time goes by.

Your weakness?
Sometimes when I make a character, I make it for the sake of a PB or a name I want to use (and yes I have done it before ) So my weakness would be not fully thinking things out about them like what I want them to do, what their personality would be etc.

What would you recommend to those looking to further develop their characters?
RP! RP! And RP even more! Build up a few IC relationships so you have some to fall back on when you run out of RPs. Also, try to RP with different people now and again so you can get a feel for different RPing styles to further your character even more, change isn't always so bad.

What are you most looking forward to on HNZ in the next several months?
I have some more fun plots planned for Pat (as well as other characters) that I finally get to RP! Also, the TWT is going to be a great read!

What is your favourite part of HNZ?
I know everyone says it, but the OOC community is definately one of the best things about. Over the past year I have made some really great people that I'm glad to say are some of my closest friends. Love you guys!

Yes! That's pretty much the answer to that question. Although it's only been recently that I've come with a future that I want for Pat and I'm really happy with it

Most of the time when setting up plots they all work together with another plot so one works of the other and the why...well that's just how it works sometimes, the more you get into one plot the more ideas come up and it makes sence to do them. Although, some are 'just for fun' and the why...simple, you just need some randomness now and then, and to be perfectly honest if it wasn't for one of the most randomest idea ever then I dare say Pat wouldn't be as well developed as she is today!

Oh yeah you had to pick up on that It takes a while but yes I do find it easy to mould them once I've gotten a basic idea for them. I hate letting characters fade away and there is really none that are completely inactive...although some do need a bit more of a life

I like Pat's weaknesses, they make her who she is and in my eyes a normal teenager...not perfect because really where's the fun in that. Over time they may not be as much of a problem to her but they'll never fully dissappear.

The 'where' I don't know, there isn't really any place that would stick out in my mind but it would be somewhere well out of the way so she can take me on a broomstick ride I could see us getting along well to a certain extent, seeing as we have similar interests etc but seeing as we are so alike I could see our personalities clashing, not in a bad way but it would still happen.

06: For those of us whom find it difficult to organise, and write, role-plays; what advice could you give?

Take your time with them! Sometimes a post will come naturally to you and sometimes it can be difficult (both happen often for me). RPing is ultimately just for fun, unless you aim to be a writer in the future where RPing is to try and help you with your future career, whatever reason you RP for, don't rush them because you feel the need too or someone is waiting on your reply. You should RP because you want too and have fun while doing it, if you don't have fun doing a post/thread/plot/random RP whatever it is, then take your mind off it for a while and go back to it when you feel ready, if you're RPing with someone they should understand if you find it difficult.
