Kylie was in an absolute state of shock as she looked at her crying son, he had never hurt himself like this before and now she was alone with him and her sweet Elena. For a brief moment she did not know what to do or where to go, as if all the thoughts in her head had left in a panic. Luckily, it was only a brief moment before she carefully scooped her son up. Although he was wailing, clearly in pain she peppered him with kisses to make him feel calmer in her arms even though she knew it wouldn’t work in calming him down, she still tried. While she tried to figure out whether it was the shock of the fall or actual pain that was making her son cry like he was, Kylie tried to pack up her daughter from the park while other parents and children looked onto her struggling. Apparating with two children was not the easiest so she usually tried other methods of travel, especially because her daughter would almost certainly cry from her ears popping but after ascertaining that Dominic likely broke a bone in his arm she had to risk it. Kylie adjusted him in her arms so she was carrying him on her hip and did the same with her daughter on the opposite side and instructed them to close their eyes so they wouldn’t also get dizzy and get sick. That was the last thing Kylie needed at the moment.
Luckily, the three Ortiz’s reached the doors of St Mungo’s without any extra injuries even if there were more tears. Kylie rushed her babies into the hospital, still carrying them and getting physically tired but she needed to get Dominic seen to so she rushed as much as she was able knowing if Elena was walking beside it would take that much longer in a moment of stress. The worst of this was that Dominic kept crying for his father when he would not show up because Kylie knew she could not tell the man about this without it being an issue and allow him to question whether their custody arrangement was appropriate. No, Kylie had decided to only tell him if it was bad and she was just hoping it would be a simple fix for whoever would see them.
Kylie set her children in seats while trying to get Dominic registered to see a Healer. The woman did wish that she had that ability in this moment but was grateful anyway to be at the hospital anyway. After filling out the paperwork, she sat down and put Dominic in her lap and gently rocked him while he cried and with a free hand she played with Elena’s dark hair and spoke to them both in Spanish, trying to reassure them that they would be seen soon and that the pain would be over quickly although she regretted it happening at all.
