Day four and still going strong
Well it's official I must be addicted to this or something (not as much as HNZ though =wub= ) but really, I've had it four days and I've made a blog everyday :lawlz:
So my day! Had Contemporary Markets today, interesting enough subject - we learn about different types of tourism e.g. today was Cultural and Heritage. I realised that the essay we have to hand in for it is due next week. Meh sooo have not got any motivation to do it (a case study on the New Tourist and Amsterdam - wonder what main attractions it has on offer? :r: )
During lunch my friends kinda persuaded me to get my hair cut, I've been meaning to do it for ages but never really bothered. So after that had my Seminar class for Contemporary Markets - for those that don't know a seminar is where the students do a presentation on the lecture done that day and is worth 25% of our grade. It was an OK presentation, being first years everyone reads off of their slides (although I probably will be the same in a few weeks when I'm up![]()
).
Well 20 marks is given on class discussion and at the beginning of the year we were told to 'plant questions in the audience' and so far I have yet to see people that have actually done that. So today, again, I seemed to be the only one asking the presenters questions - and I tried to give easy ones like "What are some of the most popular cultural and/or heritage attractions in NI?" And to be honest I couldn't have given them an easier question as we mentioned about 6/7 in the class in the morning![]()
The lecturer then tried to help out by mentioning some big cultural events namely The Tall Ships during the summer, so yeah as I was actually part of that I ended up talking about it more than the presenters (they didn't actually talk about it at all  ) She (our lecturer) also mentioned things like music festivals, I mentioned the UTV Country Fest (which I was also part of last year :r: ) Anyway, one of the presenters was soooo grateful that I actually talked, I lost count of the amount of times he said thank you
So after that it was home time :woot2: But instead of going home I went to the shopping centre and got my hair cutThere's a place where you don't need to make appointments so I went in and got it done then a there :lawlz: I got soooo much of my hair cut off. So this morning my hair was half way down my back and now it is sitting on my shoulders
I LOVE IT =wub= I haven't been able to get pics up yet because I haven't got the adaptor lead for the camera in Belfast with me but I'll do it at the weekend (if I can find it) But I got it all layered and thinned out and now my hair is so much more manageable - compared to the thick mess it was beforehand. I have a side fringe now too
Mum had a fit over the phone when I told her
Yeah that was the most exciting part of my dayAfter that I got the bus home as I had the Youth Club tonight ( :uberyawn: ) So yeah my project for the Youth Club is to teach a number of the children a dance and then they compete it next year for this semi-big competition. Well I finally got some of the children to sit down and get interested in it
I got about 12 - ish tonight and some said they can get more for next week
So next week my plans involve getting the final names and numbers and deciding on a song - as the music has to be sent in along with the registration form by the end of this month and the competition is Feb/March
